Ours is a family business, father and son, Bill Eaton and Scott Eaton. Bill and his wife, Lee Eaton, started the business in 1977 and Scott, their son, joined them in 1991. Lee retired in 2001.

Bill attended USC, spent 22 years as a U.S. Navy carrier fighter/bomber pilot, obtained a graduate degree in Accounting from UCLA, and, after retiring from the U.S. Navy as a Commander, Bill worked for a commercial bank as a loan officer and then for 8 years as a branch bank manager. Following the bank, Bill worked for the IRS as an Income Tax Auditor/Revenue Agent. Following the IRS, Bill & Lee started Eaton's Income Tax Service here in San Clemente.

Scott Eaton studied accounting at Rio Hondo College in Whittier, California where he lived and developed a tax and bookkeeping practice for fourteen years, working with a wide variety of small businesses to set-up computerized accounting systems and prepare payroll and income taxes. He joined the Eaton's Income Tax team in 1991. Scott earned his Enrolled Agent certification in 1996. He and his wife Nancy enjoy living in beautiful San Clemente.
